About the Image(s)
My problem with this challenge was finding an image that suited the sepia style. I did not think it was going to gain anything by applying it to an obviously modern scene. These steps are at a small seaside place I visit a lot. They could be quite timeless and thus fitted the sepia look.
How I did it:
As usual, I've tried to keep manipulation to a miminum:
In the Snapseed app, I reduced the colour, applied a graduated filter, increased the saturation to give it a sepia look
Cropped slightly to remove part of a bin
Finally, I reduced to 750px

Very interesting object to being captured in SEPIA and allows one to think it can be used in various ways not something t reflect yesterday but something modern and today. Well done.   Posted: 01/09/2018 12:16:05

This image has many textures and leading lines and rule of thirds is apparent.....you've got all the basics covered for a great image.   Posted: 01/10/2018 12:48:52

Thanks Pat. I try not to be ruled by the 'rules' but sometimes it just happens :)   Posted: 01/16/2018 02:29:32

I love the diagonal created by the handrail and the paint on the wall. The whole image contains many interesting geometric shapes.   Posted: 01/10/2018 15:01:52

Thanks Paul. Patterns and abstracts and minimalism are the themes I'm happiest with.   Posted: 01/16/2018 02:30:30

The steps diagonal line is a good composition in sepia toning. I like the texture of this image which add value to whole picture.   Posted: 01/17/2018 03:41:24

This looks like an old, aged photo. It's very interesting, both for the simplicity of the shapes and for the tones and textures in the steps and wall. A beautiful shot.   Posted: 01/17/2018 20:53:26
