A montage of two photos by Pat D'Aversa

July 2017 - A montage of two photos

About the Image(s)

This is a montage of two photos. One, my granddaughter and
the other the American flag. I sized the flag image then copied the flag, superimposed it over the girls face and using the transform tool, I stretched it to fit the
face then using the opacity slide, I decreased the opacity to app 40%. I erased any of the flag that fell onto the hair line. Then I copied and pasted the girl over the original flag image, flattened the image and resized for PSA.

I don’t have settings recorded for either image.

Great photo Pat! I really like the montage and what you've done with fitting the flag to your granddaughters face.
What software program did you use to do this?

Very cool effect!   Posted: 07/10/2017 19:50:02

A beautiful and very original photo, Pat. I love the sharpness of the image and the expression on your granddaughter's face. The technical skill you showed is currently beyond my capabilities!   Posted: 07/11/2017 19:52:46

Very cool and reminds me of 1930's B&W work of Barbara Morgan I seem to remember leaning about a HISTORY OF PHOTOGRAPHY many yrs ago.   Posted: 07/14/2017 07:07:49

A very well produced image. It combines two aspects of patriotism that strike a cord in everybody - the national flag and their children.
Well done!   Posted: 07/19/2017 09:39:10
