I've never been to Normandy. This must have been very moving.

Nice color saturation in the flowers.

The statue is a bit dark and I would love to see the detail better.   Posted: 07/10/2017 19:51:55

I have the feeling that I want you to step back a bit so I can view the monument in its entirety. The red of the flowers do a great job of pulling the viewer into the scene.

I feel the lost of life, and like the statue being dark as it allows us to think it could just be any persons not the particular mode festured in it.   Posted: 07/14/2017 07:12:12

I too would have liked to see more of the structure and perhaps a slightly viewpoint would have made the statue more prominent.
Having said that, these places often impose restrictions that you just have to work within.
A very moving place and the red flowers, on the base of the image, convey another aspect to its meaning.   Posted: 07/19/2017 09:32:58
