Something Shiny - Funny Art Face by Kerstin Köneke

November 2020 - Something Shiny - Funny Art Face

About the Image(s)

Huhh “ that was not easy to decide about a shiny thing. I don’t wear much jewellery and didn’t have had a real idea how to display this little necklace pendant.

I was pondering about that for days “ longer than a live time of a rose in a vase as you can see.

When I saw how the blossom was wilting and laying flat like a wig on the vase rim, I got this idea of a heart shaped face. And because the rose color fit the little pendant’s one “ my background was born. I only needed a pair of eyes and I plugged a tiny petal from a red Bornholm margarithe to form the lips. The light beams I created with an app filter from my smartphone.

Technical information: Canon 70 D, Lens Canon 100 mm, ISO 100, F 2,8, 1/640 sec.

This is so very creative and lovely. What a beautiful way to present your piece of jewelry! I'm so impressed with a piece of the flower being used as the mouth! I might darken the grass to emphasize the main subject.   Posted: 11/10/2020 15:13:32

What a charming little lady! And how very creative you were. From the flower cap to the face to the pendant, it all works together beautifully. The sunbeams from the upper left are a nice touch. This would make a lovely Valentine's Day card.   Posted: 11/10/2020 15:25:27

Very sweet and ultra creative. All elements fit here and the light beams bring the whole image together. The heart holds my eye and there is not fade off in the grasses. Good job.   Posted: 11/14/2020 20:13:28

Very imaginative and a cute image! I love the folds in the blossom making it a very stylish cap. Intrigued by your light shaft which adds to the magical nature of the image. Connie is right it would make a nice Valentine's Day card.   Posted: 11/18/2020 15:46:52

Thank you for your nice words :-). the Valentine's Day card is a good idea. It is not the most celebrated thing here in Germany - so I didn't thought about it.   Posted: 11/22/2020 00:21:12

Very creative. I felt doing this outdoors and with that added light beam created a story for the subject and it's "hat". I felt it came alive with the facial features added. The wilted flower really catches my as I follow along the face. Good Job.   Posted: 11/27/2020 20:36:58
