About the Image(s)

Like I told with my last picture’s text, I take some suggestions from Instagram. I love to play with the bokeh and lens flares. This time I took my tablet with a lens flare picture on it as my background. The flowers are from my garden. I’ve put them into a small bottle, that I decorated with a little lace edging. With PS I’ve put the vignette frame around it and I pulled down the color dynamic and saturation a bit. And there we have the vintage look! After the shooting I’ve had a nice flower tabler decoration for some days.

Technical information: Canon 70 D, Lens Canon 100 mm, ISO 100, F 2,8, 1/100 sec.

I like the soft, dreamy look you have created with your special background and other techniques. I did notice the big white flower first but also simultaneously noticed the bokeh circles, lavendar flower, and pretty lace vase. The entire photo is interesting to look at as a whole and also for each of its elements. If this was my photo, I'd darken the sliver of a light bokeh circle at the top right because I find myself looking at it and distracting me. Or I might just crop a tiny bit off the top to eliminate it and bring the white flower up a little bit in the composition.   Posted: 10/05/2020 11:48:13

The lighting on the white flower is lovely. It goes from a dreamy high key on the left to almost low key on the right side. The soft colors blend perfectly. The white lace on the bottle is a bit distracting in the photo, but probably enhances the arrangement as a centerpiece. This would be lovely hanging on a wall.

I agree with Carole and Connie's comments. The flower is well exposed - no hot spots but has a wide variety of white shades. I would crop off half of the lace in the right corner and darken it a little bit. An interesting image and very pleasing to look at.   Posted: 10/07/2020 16:18:08

I really like the setup and bokeh. I felt my eye focused on the white floor and then the purple flowers in the background. I like the colors used. If it was me, I would've tried a few angles to gain a clear focus on the white floor. Maybe closer to the center, or adjusting the censor overall. I also found it was great information on what you methods used. Thanks!   Posted: 10/17/2020 00:25:00

I like the title as it describes the image well. a lovely soft white conjuring up a tranquil setting. Great background bokeh. I find my eye goes to the lace edging and for me thats a bit distracting so if it were me i might look at cropping that out but that's just my perspective. A nice image for a tablet decoration.   Posted: 10/25/2020 14:35:27
