About the Image(s)

I just was glad I once visited that special xletix challenge for jogger at the Baltic beach. They’ve had some very challenging, sometimes funny obstacles on their way. And some teams even had nice shirts. I chose this picture because it fits the Christmas time so nice.

I’ve put the white vignette with PS around it to emphasize colors of the trikots.

Technical information: Canon 70 D, Lens Canon 70-200, ISO 160, F 4,5, 1/320 sec.

I find this image so fun to look at! My eye goes right to the middle joggers, and I like that I can see their faces so clearly and feel their hard effort to run on the beach. It is rare for me to see a beach that isn't a straight line, and so I really like your composition with all the curves and diagonal lines of the shoreline. Even the tilted horizon line adds to the feeling of motion. And last but not least, I love that you included the jogger sitting down. He adds good interest to the image. The white vignette works very well for me.   Posted: 01/11/2020 14:36:49

Very engaging image and i like the way you have captured the 3 joggers so clearly while blurring the rest of the pack! Nice diffused lighting too which adds to the sharpness. Agree with Carole about the interesting shoreline. To me the only thing i would change is the black pole sticking out at the back of the last jogger...but no sure you could crop that out without disturbing the background? Like the vignette too.   Posted: 01/24/2020 16:07:42

I like that the joggers are in focus and can see the determination in their face. I wonder what the one in the water laying down is doing ? I colorful outfits vs the water and sand really enhanced the overall photo subject.   Posted: 01/25/2020 13:59:41

Great exposure and color. Interesting image. You did a good job keeping the white water muted and not too bright.   Posted: 01/31/2020 18:22:02
