About the Image(s)

This was taken in 2017 of an ornament that was in our Christmas tree. It is a glass ornament, and I thought it made a nice picture with the background. I believe it was taken with a 50mm lens with a Canon Rebel 5i.

The lighting really makes the glass heart ornament sparkle and stand out beautifully, It's like a wow! I like the way the heart itself is against a dark area of the picture. I found the colors on the right and left sides were distracting. When I covered the bright blue spot with my hand, the heart looked even better! I edited your photo by cropping the right and left sides but then I decided I liked the size and shape of your composition, so below is my version with a little Photoshop Rubber Stamping.   Posted: 12/09/2019 21:49:12

The heart draws you in and with the magical sparkly glow it makes a lovely image and certainly conjures up a warm christmas feeling. I like the way the background has different colours and the bokeh effect of the lights. Nice too that the heart has centre stage!   Posted: 12/14/2019 17:22:49

I normally do not like 'bullseye' photos but this works due to the subject matter. I too am a bit distracted by the red ribbon? on the left and the hot lights at the bottom and far right so perhaps some cropping would have worked but overall i like this and definetely am reminded of Christmas when i view this.   Posted: 12/26/2019 14:55:49

This is all Christmas feeling with the sparkiling heart and the colored lights around. But I would make the heart more the center. The big yellow light is distracting my eye. So I made another cut and I tried to sharpen the heart a bit up. What do you say?   Posted: 12/29/2019 06:03:41
