About the Image(s)

I photographed this scene while in one of Toledo’s Metro Parks. I liked the curved path and the sculpture near the end of the path but I did not like the slanting trees and the overall flat tone of the image. So, in Photoshop I straightened the trees and increased the contrast. Then I enlarged the sculpture and brighten it. And, to add more interest I added the image of a lady walking.

Your final image is a great improvement over the original. Jim. You seem to have a magical way to interact with PS to make it bend to your will ;-). The straightening, contrast and monument enlargement look very natural, I like the way that you added a shadow to the lady walking.

Overall, very nicely done.

Jim, thanks for your comments. I was fortunate in that the copied image of the lady already had shadow but it was on the right side of her so I just flipped the image horizontally and was so pleased how well it fit in with my original image.   Posted: 03/09/2023 08:15:30

Your image processing had me hunting in Photoshop for a focal length slider. Then Jim B explained it for me as PS magic.   Posted: 03/25/2023 18:42:11
