About the Image(s)

The picture above is a little bit older, taken in November 2014 by coincidence. It was already very dark and poor light “ you can say barely available light. So I took the picture with my 7D Mark I, aperture 4,5; exposure 1/40; ISO 2500; focus length 18 mm. The colored picture is very dark, so I decided to turn to black and white. What I like most was the contrast of real leaves down on the pavement and the shadow of the rest still hanging on the tree.

I like where you were going with this, Peter. I took it bit further by cropping in a bit, mostly to get rid of the bits of leaves on the right edge and deemphasize the ones at the top. I then dodged the leaves to make them stand out more from the pavement.   Posted: 01/14/2021 16:17:26

Thank you Henry, I'll join your opinion. Indeed, it was a pure light and I was about to get the maximum out of it. But this helped! Very good suggestion!   Posted: 01/14/2021 16:41:10

I like your image and the composition. I would have liked to have seen more contrast but given the very dark original such an adjustment does not seem possible.   Posted: 01/15/2021 07:18:32
