Our regional electric company has been upgrading their power distribution lines. I saw a local raven checking out this new perch, and got the shot with a long reach Nikon P900. Poe's famous poem was the inspiration for the title.
Settings: 600 mm (full frame equivalent), 1/500 s, f/6.3, ISO 125. Processed in Silver Efex Pro with Fine Art High Key preset and soft vignette.

Allen, I really like your conversion as the color image has little interest. My only suggestion is to crop some off the right side so that the pole and bird are no so centered. Posted: 01/15/2021 07:09:27
