About the Image(s)

I took this photo at a cross walk at a mill pond. Water was used from the mill pond to power the historic woolen factory. I took the photo with a very wide angle lens which resulted in some very slanting diagonal lines which took me some time to correct. I then converted the photo to mono and cropped some off some of the top. I then thought about the two windows on the building and decided that since the photo is about the cross walk (and the lifting mechanism) I cropped the windows from my final photo.

Great photo and the walk leads you right into the picture. I like the different textures and cropping. I also like that you left the windows out of the final. Really nice shot and the distortion is not nearly as noticeable in the final image.   Posted: 03/15/2019 23:03:30

Too bad the water wheel is missing, my photoshop skill is not up to the challenge of adding one. The detail you bring out shows every brick, plank, beam, and bolt - a tribute to the hand labor that constructed this historic factory.   Posted: 03/18/2019 13:55:13

So many lines and pairs! Great execution and the mono treatment suits this image well.   Posted: 03/19/2019 22:01:30

Your corrections and mono conversion have turned a boring capture into a fascinating image. You pulled out such detail that demands to be studied. Great job!   Posted: 03/23/2019 12:18:48
