About the Image(s)
The photo is of an abandoned railroad bridge. I took the photo at the very end of the bridge so that I could get my camera down to the level of the wooden ties. The camera was a Nikon D80 which had been converted to infrared. The lens was a Nikon 10-18 zoom set at 10MM at 1/15 and F22. I converted the photo to mono using Nik’s Silver Efex. In the original photo is a small weed which I thought look strange in pure white so I removed it. I wonder if my revised photo has too much contrast.

Symmetry, rhythmic patterns, leading lines, full range of tones and textures - a classic monochrome photo. I think your tonal contrast matches the texture contrast among iron girders, wood support beams, leafy trees, and soft clouds.   Posted: 07/16/2017 13:53:14
