About the Image(s)
I went on a tour of Aix En Provence. This is one of the buildings with interesting windows. Fujicom XT-20 with Tamron 18-300, 1/1800, f9, ISo400. Cropped and adjusted in LR.

I'm afraid this image doesn't do much for me. Definitely the windows are interesting, but I'd love to see a bit more -- what's below it, on the street level. Also I think I would have added some contrast and a wee bit of saturation. I wonder what would have happened if you had take the image as a horizontal.

I do prefer your original, you can see more of the building, down to the ground. The old architecture in France and Italy is so interesting !!   Posted: 05/21/2022 19:24:14

I agree with the horizontal comment. If you enlarge the photo to show just the bottom half in a horizontal format I think it works nicely. I like the softness of the color throughout the photo.   Posted: 05/20/2022 08:40:16

How would it have been if you just took a shot of the windows that attracted you?   Posted: 05/21/2022 16:14:41

That is what I normally do. This had more than just the center windows.   Posted: 05/21/2022 16:36:10

An interesting study of southern French architecture. Details are sharp and well exposed. I agree that a horizontal format cropping of the bottom half is worth trying. You might also try cropping down to the 4 center windows and balconies.   Posted: 05/24/2022 14:44:50
The architecture is certainly eye-catching. This might work well as a "macro" shot that just focuses on the decorative iron on one of the windows, though cropping may be tricky with the angle of the window. Flipped to black and white with adjustments to the shadows and highlights might increase the depth overall and address the issue with being "flat."   Posted: 05/26/2022 14:58:57

I think this is a charming shot. Do you know what is the meaning of the building name?   Posted: 05/26/2022 23:25:51
