About the Image(s)

I was experimenting with the Lensbaby Velvet 56 (for Olympus), which I recently purchased. This shot was perhaps at 2.8, 1/106 sec, ISO 400. I sharpened the sharper lines a bit in Lightroom. Does it work?

It works. I wish that the center were slightly sharper. The image as a whole is lovely and draws me in.   Posted: 04/08/2021 09:19:18

I've seen lots of lens baby shots, and a lot of the time I just wish the focus were sharper in the most important part of the image -- here, it would be the center of the flower. Your exposure is great, the color is beautiful, I wish you had been a little further away from the flower.   Posted: 04/08/2021 11:39:42

A good attempt at lensbaby macrophotography! I actually find the center of the flower to be sharp enough. However, my eye is drawn away by the bright, blurry cream-colored area just to the left of the flower center. Cloning it out or toning it down may well reduce its distracting effect.   Posted: 04/17/2021 15:12:33

Your right. Is this better? I darkened it in LR & increased saturation. I also sharpened the center line more.   Posted: 04/18/2021 17:15:19

Nice image of the flower. I might have liked an image further away with same detail and more sharpness.   Posted: 04/17/2021 16:18:24
