Mud Skipper by David Yeo, EPSA

January 2021 - Mud Skipper

About the Image(s)

Title :- Mud Skipper
Data :- ISO: 4000, Speed: 1/280, Aperture: f3.5
Camera & Lens used :- Canon EOS R6 & RF 85mm Prime Lens f2 Macro IS STM
How I did it:- Recently I went to River Safari which is in S’pore with my family outing. During our family tour, I saw this mud skipper which I find it very interesting to shoot in macro as it try to hide among the bushes, well testing my prime lens of 85mm macro. The lighting condition was just nice at the right time as this little cute creature is moving very fast when it heard noises.
I hope everyone enjoying looking at my image.

Great job getting up close and personal and not blown out. Does it really have a red spot on this back or is this a reflection?   Posted: 01/12/2021 13:13:52

Hi Lori Azevedo, the red spot is natural, it is not a reflection and also it is not blown up image.

I was referring to the reflections not being blown out. I have trouble with over-exposure and reflections. You captured this wonderfully.   Posted: 01/12/2021 18:12:46
