While I love the landscape travel photo I think your real shot is the windmill. There is a lot of interest in that stone and the stone fence coming up to it.   Posted: 11/08/2020 16:14:03

Does this still qualify as PT?   Posted: 11/12/2020 22:10:30

I think both images work quite nicely. The story changes as does the focus. When creating such an image, it depends on who the viewer is. A cruise ship tour marketing image would certainly be interested in the original. An audience interested in Greece and the Aegean Islands might be more interested in the crop variation. An image created for the right category in competition might open you up to thinking about it even further. Personally the travel photo could come about both ways. Regardless, I like your scene in either way.   Posted: 11/27/2020 10:55:45

I agree with Lori. There's too much in the image, and the two telephone poles (or electric poles) are distracting. I would like to see you crop in and focus in a good angle for the windmill. Travel is fascinating but I, myself, fail at taking good travel images ! They are difficult.   Posted: 11/12/2020 20:51:19

Rich, I enjoy seeing your images from your travels. I agree with Lori and Donna there is a little too much in this image. The windmill is your real shot.   Posted: 11/14/2020 18:21:26

Just to play the devil's advocate, I like the complexity of your image because I can spend time looking at various parts. I linger looking at all the detail and imagine being there and exploring.   Posted: 11/20/2020 13:37:17

Nice capture. Another possibility: to have waited till the ship left the scene. There's enough interest without the ship.   Posted: 11/23/2020 12:21:33

I like the image, but thought with some humor, that if Rick had been on tour from that cruise ship, it would be left behind...but that would make available a whole array of image captures while waiting to find his way home some other way.   Posted: 11/27/2020 10:51:49
