About the Image(s)

Original was taken at a Car Show in Burlington, IA with my Canon EOS7D and my Tamron 28-70mm f2.8 lens. Settings were f/2.8, 1/800 with an ISO of 100. Most of these car shows are pretty cluttered and a shot of a car all by itself is pretty rare. So for this image I used several different selection tools starting with Select: Subject on Photoshop and then some tweaking. Once I had the selection I wanted, I inverted it and blurred the background using Gaussian Blur. I think this gives the car a kind of dreamy feel.

John this is a lovely image. I particularly like the blue shading around the wheels. Was this a texture or your artistic hand with a paintbrush. Only one small glitch on the rear of the front left tire is th highlighted "stroke" partially around the tire. Calls my eye right to the spot and easily removed. Overall a very well done image.   Posted: 02/14/2021 12:40:38

looks well done. Could use some cleaning up of black edges around front and side of car.   Posted: 02/19/2021 05:38:28

Looks good! There could have been a little more work done to the mask to help refine it that would have helped. There is a command somewhere in PS that lets you sort shrink the mask so it will conform a bit better. Does look 'dreamy', lol.   Posted: 02/22/2021 13:10:03

John-You picked a nice small car to bring your dreams to come true but your blurring action was overdone and the selection of the car was not properly performed. That's what I feel. Black & Blue spots are a distraction to me.
