November 2020 - Jimmy

About the Image(s)

Jimmy showed up on our porch this month, he was very sick so we took him to the vet. He is getting better but still has a bad eye. I first took a photo of him on the pumpkin, it looked good but I felt it was missing something. So I carved a face into the pumpkin and retook Jimmy on it again. I cropped it to my liking then did some basic editing in lightroom. I also edited it in On1 and in Photoshop I gave the carving a glow to look like it had a candle in it. I then used Topaz impression to give it an effect that I liked and masked it out to my liking throughout the image. I also repaired Jimmy’s bad eye.

What perfect Halloween picture! I can't think of anything that would improve but I hope Jimmy is better and will be feature in more of your photos!   Posted: 11/16/2020 11:37:42

very nice. Wish some of the shiny on the pumpkin was less. Otherwise good focus and colors.   Posted: 11/16/2020 12:07:13

Allen-Your model Jimmy looks great on pumpkin but I suggest to tone down pumpkin a little bit in order to keep your attention on Jimmy. I also see couple of white spots on right side of the door which need to be removed or cloned for better look.

Adorable kitty. Very nicely composed and creative image. The pumpkin does look as though it has a light inside. Perfect fall picture with good focus and appeal.   Posted: 11/26/2020 14:27:12

Would make a nice calendar page for the month of October and Halloween. How did you get the kitten to stand still for so long.   Posted: 11/26/2020 14:33:15
