About the Image(s)

Once a year my camera club holds an event called "Battle of the Sexes". We divide into teams, men vs. women, all having the same list of topics. Everyone submits several images to their "team captain". Volunteer committees (divided by sex) then select one image out of all their submissions and choose the images they think will be winners. Then we call in two outside judges and at a meeting the winners are chosen. Judges give a little feedback as to why they chose one photo over another. It's a fun event particularly since the women usually win. However, this year it was close.
This was one of my submissions in the Geometric category that was not chosen to be in "the Battle". It was interesting to see each person's interpretation of the categories.

Camera settings: f3.5 ISO400, 1/60 sec.

Reminds me of a bolt of cloth from my "fabric artist" days. Nice flow of lines and colors. Interesting subject matter. My only thought might would be to brighten it a bit and make those colors really pop.   Posted: 10/17/2020 14:12:48
