About the Image(s)

The original image was taken at Longwood Gardens in PA. It was taken indoors with no flash. My main purpose in working with this image was my first test for my purchase of AI Mask from Topaz. I often have trouble making selections and I had seen many demos about the use of using Topaz Mask. I decided to purchase it and this first trial was a breeze. I selected the parts of the flower I wanted to use as my main subject using AI Mask. I then inverted the selection and applied radial zoom blur to the background.

This is a lovely image. I have been taking lots of flowers photos during the pandemic and belong to several groups who do flower photography and this would do well in any one of them. If you would like a little more pop, try an Orton effect to give it a soft glow. Really lovely!   Posted: 06/11/2020 07:59:52

John-It's a nice closeup shot of flower using a radial blur filter with good detail of interior view but I would suggest going further to blur & tone down with this filter to stand out your main subject. You would see the difference!

Hi John, Good flower image. It's nicely centered in the frame with sharp focus and detail. Your first test experience turned out well. I think your started with a very good stand alone photo.   Posted: 06/22/2020 14:58:35

Nice flower image. I feel that it would be better if you had blended the effect a bit into the flower so that it is not such a break between the flower and the effect.   Posted: 06/25/2020 20:16:48
