About the Image(s)

I went to a workshop in the panhandle of FL. This wreck was one of the many boats I got to photograph. It was photographed in early evening but I use this photo to test my patience and PS skills. I have put in several different skies and adjusted color temperatures and used different blend techniques, liked this one. Have several others I liked but I continue to play.

Hi Donna, I like your picture, but I feel it needs a little more WOW factor. Played With it in Luminar 4 and this is what I got.   Posted: 01/13/2020 17:03:26

Hi Debbie, I really like this image especially the composition with the boat on the right side of the frame. The sky you worked in is a good addition. The color of the clouds compliment the boat color. In my opinion, saturation or wow factor, is in the eye of the maker/beholder. I just attended our club's Chapter Showcase meeting. Several of the images selected for the showcase were heavily saturated. It seems, to me, that is a current trend although I do like Stuart Caine's approach. The sky reflection is apparent on the beach which is a plus.   Posted: 01/20/2020 10:54:41

I will go back and play with some of the saturations as I tend to use this photo for various experiments.   Posted: 01/20/2020 13:38:00

I like the composition of the image. Your choice of sky helps set a mood in the viewers eye. The issue is with the banding in the sky. You also need to blend in the sky better around the mast of the ship, it does not match the area of the sky around it.   Posted: 01/21/2020 19:09:05

I agree with the previous comments. I really like the colors in the sky though.   Posted: 01/23/2020 08:49:18

Hi Debie: Your image is very impressive at first glance but when I viewed Stuart creation it did stand out much more effective with a deeper saturation. Other than that your image is sharp with good details and well-composed.

Nice image and the more saturated version is also interesting. I would try cropping maybe 1/3 off the left side.   Posted: 01/27/2020 11:52:17
