About the Image(s)

Couple of years back I was capital area of Washington, DC with a friend. I noticed an interesting natural growth
protruding on a trunk tree of human profile and attracted my attention and I had a small LUMIX Panasonic camera with me and took several shots. Later on I blurred the background in PS and made minor color adjustment.
Take good care

Hi Shaikh, My first impression was that of a squirrel emerging out of the tree. Funny how each of us visualizes an abstraction. You did a good job of blurring the background. Would you share your process? I have a a couple of images that I would like to work on. Your suggestions may be easier than substituting a new sky. Very good focus and lighting.   Posted: 08/12/2019 19:44:53

Hi Priscilla- thank you for liking my blurred BG! I did not use any special technique for the blurred BG. I just simply took 3 steps as follows to make the background blurred which is common practice of Photoshop worker
1 Make fine selection of the Image and apply feather
1px (Shift+F6).
2 Make a duplicate Layer of Image using (Ctlr+J).
3 Select Background Layer and apply filter Blur/
Gaussian Blur (40 Px).
I hope it clears your point. Let me know if you
still need any help from this end.

Great job on the background. Funny, I saw the profile of a pig with its little legs sort lifting up to its snout. The brown area looks like its ear! You never fail to find interesting objects and work them to really enhance them. Super!   Posted: 08/14/2019 16:44:21

You have done a good job with capturing the original and then blurring the background to make the tree more looking like some kind of animal. This image should be accepted in competition. Sorry you will not be in Spokane.   Posted: 08/28/2019 13:22:03
