Hi Jesse, Proud photographer! This is a coincidence, recently I attended a photo work-shop. One of the speakers emphasized putting a vignette around all images you enter in competitions. He said it doesn't have to be very dark, can be almost invisible but the effect produces better scores. Nicely focused with a pleasing blue sky. Good work!   Posted: 08/12/2019 19:21:19

Where are the babies, LOL??? I would open up the shadows a bit more so the birds' eyes are viewable. These might be younger parents as I'm not seeing any breeding plumage. I really like the clouds in the sky, makes for a better scene that a blah sky. Nice photo!

I agree with opening up the shadows a bit. Looks like good focus and colors. The vignette is to dark for my taste.   Posted: 08/15/2019 12:17:07

Super image Jesse, taken at Wakodahatchee? Although the vignette is a bit overwhelming, in this case I rather like it, being so dramatic it serves as a frame. A bit more explanation, other than the tech details, of its capture would be nice. Well done!   Posted: 08/16/2019 13:34:19

Jesse-You got a great shot of Blue Herons. I like it very much. I don't mind having vignetting effect which forcefully
brings your attention to your main subject. Well done Jesse.

Nice image of two herons. I would like it more with a little less vignetting. I would also like to see more detail in the birds.   Posted: 08/28/2019 13:13:51
