About the Image(s)

I took this image in San Diego covered garden last year with lot of distractions around but I liked the Green Cup very much. I took the photo any way and thought I would fix it in my photoshop nicely. So I did it the way I wanted to. I made a selection by using Lasso Tool very carefully and used Gaussion Blur Filter up to my taste. I tilted the whole image to make look better. Looking for your comments.

A lovely flower and the cup does make it unique. You did a fine job of separating it from the mish-mash in the rear. I would go a step farther and make that reddish part, at the top L, similar to area of the top R. I might also have added a one or two pixel stroke since the image tends to fade into our black BG.   Posted: 06/14/2018 05:28:31

Hi Shaikh, A lovely example of an orchid. I really like the green and white color against the black background. Your focus is extremely sharp. The work you did on the background is amazing, certainly more that I would ever attempt. Perfection!   Posted: 06/17/2018 12:29:43

Hi Barbara-Thanks for pointing out to me and converting into black area which looks better now. I did notice this at the time of working in PS but I did not change it to keep my BG blurred as it did not bother me. Thanks anyway and keep smiling as you do always.

Wonderful job dealing with the background and the leaves around the orchid. I think both versions work very well.   Posted: 06/25/2018 17:41:31

Very nice image of an orchid. I feel you did an excellent job of decluttering it and I had no issue with your edit.   Posted: 06/25/2018 19:26:27

Good eye, taking the flower out of the clutter. The darker background in Barbara M. image seems to pop . Well done.   Posted: 06/27/2018 08:17:38

Excellent job of taking the flower out of the clutter. In my opinion I would like to see the background justa little lighter instead of darker.   Posted: 06/28/2018 10:21:41
