February 2021 - A walk on water

A rare view of ducks walking on water in a frozen lake behind my new home in Champaign, IL in early last month. I never thought any living being can walk on water! A straight shot with my bridge camera Sony RX 10 iv ( a 25X: 24-600 mm zoom lens !!!) all in one package I bought last year. The shoot was taken @ 300mm; 1/200 sec; f8 at ASA 200 equivalent. Photoshop 2021 for minor post production adjustments.

A wonderful image! Is the last duck in the line calling to others behind it (chicks perhaps?) or having second thoughts about crossing the lake? I like the buildings in the background, and the reflections are great, but the hanging tree branch at the left is a distraction. Posted: 02/24/2021 14:44:15
