Sunflower Collage by Marcus Miller

February 2021 - Sunflower Collage

About the Image(s)

Photoshop is very addictive. This image started out as a single extraction of a sunflower but morphed into this collage.

The selected flower was manipulated using with a tutorial on YouTube called Part Photo, Part Sketch which brought out the line details in the flower and the selected background colour. Then the various colours were added to each flower copy using Color Balance. The collage was built from there.

very delightful colors. One question though! Is it a montage or collage?   Posted: 02/09/2021 00:01:19

Thanks for your comments, Asmar. You are correct, it's a Montage vs a Collage.   Posted: 02/10/2021 08:17:57

Great ! Great color and creative! Would like to see a version with an odd number of 3 or 5 flowers?   Posted: 02/11/2021 12:13:20

Maybe a bit more random variation in the size of the flowers would strengthen the image. Lots of nice colours.   Posted: 02/22/2021 14:14:19

What a riot of color! I love it! My only suggestion would be to rotate some of the flowers, so that that one petal doesn't always come in from the top left... but then you might have to readjust the shadows.   Posted: 02/24/2021 14:49:30

A close-up of a Van Gogh ??? ----- super lovely. I'd love to see if repositioning some of the flowers add a bit of natural dynamism. Very well done.   Posted: 02/24/2021 18:24:50
