January 1, 2021 greeted us with this surprise of strings of pearls of frozen rain drops on the barren branches of trees on our new lakefront home in Champaign, Illinois. Just could not resist the urge of sharing this joy !!!

How I did it.
It was a true challenge shooting this shot because the strong wind made the branches swing swiftly making it difficult to focus on the drops. I used a forced flash for this aperture priority shot to let more light in for a faster exposure (f=4; 1/125 sec @ 200 asa equivalent speed).
