About the Image(s)

A composite of multiple self-reflections in the artwork "Line of Control" by sculptor Subodh Gupta at the foyer of the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art in Saket, New Delhi. The individual original images, photographed in 2013, are also shown. A mammoth sculpture in the shape of a mushroom cloud, formed entirely of steel jugs, pots, saucepans and buckets, "Line of Control" refers to the de facto border between India and Pakistan, a perennial flashpoint that sees regular cross-border shelling and terrorist raids.

A most interesting creation! Very striking! Can't say the person reflected in the center of the image adds anything.   Posted: 12/07/2020 09:35:09

It's a pity your reflection which is right in the centre isn't as sharp as the content at the bottom. I think your reflection should have been the focal point and deserves to be the sharpest point in the image.   Posted: 12/10/2020 15:16:23

I feel the pots are the strongest elements in the image they drown out the reflections. At first glance, before reading the notes, I thought the image would be about sounds. Nice creation.   Posted: 12/23/2020 11:41:59

A bold and highly creative composite image ... I agree with Alastair about the reflection in the center spot- but the profundity of the central theme supersedes and reigns over minor distractions. Thanks for the three originals, without these it would be hard to comprehend the totality of the whole,   Posted: 12/23/2020 18:28:11

Unusual image, interesting. I like the fact that the photographer is seen throughout.   Posted: 12/31/2020 17:34:01
