About the Image(s)

This landmark building (La Sagrada Familia by Gaudi) in Barcelona offends my sense of aesthetics. Nevertheless I spent a couple of hours wandering around, and took several images. One of the few that I was happy with is the reflection (Original 1) in a nearby pond. Nevertheless I felt it needed something more. So I played with the channels and saturation, and added some grain. The resulting image still lacked detail in the buiding facade, so I filled it in with some texture detail from Original 2.

A most artistic creation ! Not sure if all the blue bush on the right is a positive?   Posted: 11/07/2020 12:13:00

I really like the treatment of the reflection. The floating debris adds a very unique element. Well done.   Posted: 11/18/2020 12:19:18

I think I would have preferred to see Original 2 as a stand alone image with minimal editing. I'm not convinced that the main image works very well for me mainly because of the intrusive elements at top and bottom right - a simpler version might have been more successful for me.   Posted: 11/20/2020 10:35:52

I appreciate the artistry of this image, but it is too worked for me to really enjoy it. I'm also one of the few people around who enjoy looking at the Sagrada Familia but who don't actually like it and have not taken pictures of it - much as I admire his other work in Barcelona. We all bring baggage to our views and opinions!   Posted: 11/26/2020 13:16:37
