Port Meirion by Mo Connelly

September 2020 - Port Meirion

About the Image(s)

Port Meirion, North Wales (who remembers The Prisoner, “I am not a number”). It’s a very colourful Italianate village between the sea and Snowdonia national park. Trying to do something different from my documentary projects I’m doing a series on Port Meirion, mainly concentrating on colour, shape and texture. They’re not really meant to be seen individually and I’m interested in your reaction/views. Picture as taken, with some tweaking of colour - a big change for me to saturate as I normally desaturate. You’ll probably see more in the series.

Love the contrasting colors and shapes. I certainly could see this as a part of a series!   Posted: 09/04/2020 13:23:00

Welcome Mo. I find the precision in the corners makes this image pop. The curved lines make me wonder if I'm looking at an archery target. I am waiting to see more.   Posted: 09/07/2020 12:53:31

Bold red, blue, and white.... a wonderful color combination that grabs attention; the curve adds to the dynamism to the composition. And welcome and well done!!!   Posted: 09/11/2020 18:43:51
