About the Image(s)

Sand Dune is located in Oceano Dunes State Park in San Luis Obispo County. Undisturbed dunes are leading down to the ocean.Oceano Dunes are probably best known for the Oceano Dunes State Vehicle Recreation Area (SVRA) with 5.5 and 3,500 acres of sand, which is the only one of its kind to allow vehicles to drive on the sand. Beautiful sand dunes attracted photographers come to visit and take photos. I have been there couple time. This sand dunes image was taken in 2008 With Nikon D200, 18-200mm lens, setting at f/13, 1/160. I just did regular adjustment In Camera Raw and PS. I attached wider view sand dune photo for reference (Shown as the "Original".

Interesting pattern image. I think that the footprints add a lot of interest to the image and also size reference. The footprints move my eye around the image, watching where they go. Thank you for showing us a wider view of the dunes.   Posted: 01/10/2021 15:26:03

Looks like an interesting place to check out. I like the composition you made. You eye starts with the dune in the foreground then swirls to the right then back to the left. Also with the foot prints is gives a nice perspective.   Posted: 01/13/2021 11:41:45

Very interesting capture Tony. The multitude of layers and tones in the sand, the human footprints along with several areas of shadowing, all create engagement. Technical aspects are fine, as is composition.   Posted: 01/19/2021 09:26:38

I enjoyed both the original and the cropped version. I think I would like the original better if it were larger because it says "ocean" and I like the framing of the dunes. My first reaction was death valley but then I saw the original. In the original the white waves make a counter balance to the green vegitation and the sand. And I like the clouds.   Posted: 01/23/2021 22:20:57

taken in 2008! Good review and found from old photos! I think you have good eyes to finding the subject from photo. I also like the background the blur mountains.   Posted: 01/29/2021 00:25:22

I like the way that you cropped the image. The edited version has an element of mystery in it that I do not find in the originals. I love the footsteps and the shadows.   Posted: 01/30/2021 11:04:40
