Yosemite in Autumn by Tony Tam

November 2020 - Yosemite in Autumn

About the Image(s)

One of the best time to visit Yosemite is autumn. Yosemite National Park offers a completely different visual experience in the fall than any other season. Yosemite's trees and shrubs offer an explosion of color. This photo was taken in November 2009 11 years ago. I use Nikon D90 w/ 18-200mm lens set focus at 22mm. Camera set in f/18, I just made minor regular adjustment in PS.

Really nice Fall image of this great National Park. The only minor suggestion that I have is to get rid of the 2 vehicles below the mountain. To me they distract from the beauty of nature.   Posted: 11/12/2020 09:39:37

Gorgeous picture. I agree with Tom, the two vehicles do grab your eye and take away from the overall impact. I would think about cropping up from the bottom to the line of tall grass. The sky is so magnificent it deserves a bit more real estate.   Posted: 11/12/2020 10:57:04

Tony, by your framing you have chosen the foliage and sky as your subjects, and this works well. Is the granite formation Half Dome? I could suggest brightening the fall colors, especially the yellows and increasing saturation to taste.   Posted: 11/22/2020 13:01:17
