About the Image(s)

I have two Rock-and-spray photos, want to ask which one you like? Is the way I edit with colour okay? cold and warm. They both had taken on 15/09/2017 in Bombo. ISO 100, F16, 0.8 second. The image shown as "original" is shown that way because there is no other way to show 2 images for comparison.

I like the image that is shown as the main image the best. I think that the splash in the image shown as "original" is over powering. I like the tones that look like sunset or sunrise and that there is some blue left in the water. The harsh lighting also shows that it was taken at sunset or sunrise. You captured a splash at perfect time and the silky rest of the water is very good.   Posted: 10/16/2020 08:39:44

After looking over this image a number of times I concluded that I like the the one on display. In the original the blue sky takes my eye away from the cliffs and water. In the image, to me it seems to be either out of focus a slight camera shake. But then again it could just be my eyes. Another nice capture Grace.   Posted: 10/17/2020 12:05:33

Grace, I prefer the color graded version as the coloration is harmonious. The eye is easily led to the left, simply as it is the brightest area, buy also my coloring the water orange to serve as leading lines. Within the image is a wide dynamic range to garner interest throughout your image. Well done.   Posted: 10/19/2020 14:39:27

Grace, I too prefer the main image over the original. I like the work you have done to it and find that it is pleasant to my eye. I am not sure that I would have had the imagination to adjust the color of the sky like you did. That really creates a positive effect, congratulations.

I also find , as Tom did, that the spray in the original "jolts" the eye. I greatly prefer the adjusted version.   Posted: 10/19/2020 15:33:33

Nice sunset picture. I more prepper the version you posted. This is showing sunset tone, what I like. I have a nitpicking, I would use spot healing brush tool to remove the halo on right side.   Posted: 10/20/2020 00:33:51
