Roebling Suspension Bridge by Rich Sears

September 2020 - Roebling Suspension Bridge

About the Image(s)

Last weekend I headed our photo club down to the Ohio Riverfront here in Cincinnati. Coming back from the Kentucky side on the Roebling Suspension Bridge - 1866, the forerunner of the Brooklyn Bridge, I captured this tightly cropped image high keyed rendition. For a short distance they have pedestrians inside of a metal barrier, about 15’ high, 10’ wide. Sony A6300, 16-55mm APS-C lens, 1/200, f13, iso 500.

What a nice use of an everyday subject, Rich, well composed, clean, interesting repeating shapes and patterns.   Posted: 09/06/2020 17:40:12

Rich, excellent shot. The Moiré pattern comes out very well. Great that you spotted it.   Posted: 09/07/2020 00:21:52

A pattern shot. It is interesting but would be more so with an object to break the pattern at some stragetic point.   Posted: 09/09/2020 14:39:49

Good eye for this one I really liked it. You get the feeling that you are walking right under the barrier.   Posted: 09/11/2020 15:39:41

Very good pattern image, I like your diatonic composition with simple pattern. My eyes are looking from right up corner to left down and studently stop. I would see more extended at left down corner.   Posted: 09/15/2020 12:29:15

Nice pattern shot and good eye to have seen this. I like the starkness of it.   Posted: 09/21/2020 13:20:26
