Old Glory by Rich Sears

October 2019 - Old Glory

About the Image(s)

I arranged for our photo club to go cruising on the Ohio this past Saturday evening. Up top and at the stern an American flag seemed to stand tall, proud but aged. Only a portion was lite from a rearward lamp. I am seeking any suggestions as to how else to consider processing this image. Equipment: Sony A6300 aps-c, f3.5-5.5 18 – 135 mm lens at 95mm (equivalent 35mm 142mm) f/11, 1/200, iso 2000.

That sounds like a really nice photo shoot that you arranged. I really like the colors and the textures in the image. The blues at the top corners add a lot to the image. If you had been able to capture or bring out some of the blues in the flag, I think that it would have made this a more obvious "Old Glory" than just another flag. That said, I do like the image as presented.   Posted: 10/13/2019 11:55:59
