About the Image(s)

This was taken last December at Scusset Beach in Bourne, Massachusetts. Bourne is often referred to as the gateway to Cape Cod as it straddles the Cape Cod Canal and is home to both bridges that provide access to the Cape (the Sagamore and Bourne bridges). I took this picture on a beautiful December afternoon. The original was somewhat under exposed, but I was able to lighten it up. I played with the color a little bit trying to bring out the reds in the sea grass and darkened the sky a bit as well. I really like the fall like colors in the grass and the sky reminds me that winter weather is not far away. ( ISO 100, f/22, 1/125, with a basic 18-55mm lens)

Dear Paul: What a difference between the "Before and they final image " The sky is incredible. Here in Taos, NM we also have some wonderful cloudscapes. **Rick**   Posted: 10/01/2019 16:49:25

Nice landscape image. I really like how you brought out the fall colors. The barren bush really adds to the image, for me, as it adds interest to the image.   Posted: 10/13/2019 11:52:08

As expressed by Tom, the brush and tone are key here. The sky supplements a late afternoon shot. Good sharpness and depth of field. One thought, if you converted this scene to a vertical and cropped way in from the right side to near the highest brush, would you have a more powerful image?   Posted: 10/17/2019 17:09:05
