About the Image(s)

I made this image out at Point Reyes, California. I reversed the image because I thought it made an easier read with the composition. Then I straightened the horizon and cropped out the shy and cropped in all around. I worked in Lightroom where I did the tweaking of the foreground and the water. All of you are so good at giving advice, looking forward to see what you think of this.

I like you editing and agree that reversing the image is good -- it helps with the lead-in. The waves are really great, but I think that with them you have 2 images. The tide pool and the waves.   Posted: 03/21/2019 20:27:12

I favor reversing the image to benefit the direction of the viewer's eye, the focus, sharpness and exposure as well. What a dichotomy you have captured, peaceful beach scene versus the roar of ocean waves. Nice image, Les.   Posted: 03/22/2019 16:13:52

Very good image. You did a very good editing work. As I can see you darken the ocean area behind the big waves, reduced cool tone and increase warm tone. Now the pool with birds are major subject. Reverse the image is good idea. I like!

Wow. It is a fascinating image. I liked the revering of the image, but I agree with Rich; you really have two pictures. The waves are so riveting they take my attention from the scene in the tidal pool.   Posted: 03/27/2019 10:57:27

I am learning what you mean "two pictures"   Posted: 03/30/2019 03:51:58
