National Day from Bridge by Grace Lee

March 2019 - National Day from Bridge

About the Image(s)

I will be on travel to Perth and Western Australia with my photography girl friend from 15-26 March 2018 for the award winning travel package. I may not be able go online a lot this month. My image for this month was taken on Australian Day, 26th January 2019. I stood on famous Sydney Harbour Bridge, put camera through the opening and took photo of the famous Opera House. Just a little bit different than usual.

Nice clean shot Grace. Like the way you have it framed, and the shutter speed you used to give just enough motion in the helicopter.
Well done.   Posted: 03/15/2019 18:24:51

Visiting from group 48. I like the framing you used but I find it a bit heavy. If I had access to my photoshop (I'm doing reviews at a slow moment at work) I would try to narrow the frame diamond frame a bit to include more of the main subject.   Posted: 03/19/2019 15:46:12

Thanks for your good idea!   Posted: 03/30/2019 00:11:19

I really like what you did to find a different vantage point for the iconic location. Having some detail and texture in the bridge framing is effective. Showing movement in the helicopter blades adds to the image. I really like the image.   Posted: 03/21/2019 20:31:39

I have a question: if I change the size of the frame, is the photo will not fit to PTD - PSA Travel section?   Posted: 03/30/2019 00:14:17

Your unique viewpoint with framing along with including the helicopter make this image interesting. I did take the liberty of applying Topaz Lab's new artificial sharpening tool.   Posted: 03/22/2019 17:18:00

I like the concept and the framing, I do think that I would prefer if the framing less dominant. It is a unique perspective and I really like the Opera House and the flag.   Posted: 03/24/2019 12:14:20

Using framing is a good way to composite a image. Although the black frame is little heavy, but dose not obstructed your
main subject-the Opera House.   Posted: 03/26/2019 22:59:37
