End of Summer by Les Tyler

October 2018 - End of Summer

About the Image(s)

This was truly the end of summer. I was walking off the beach and took a pair of my wife's flip flops and put them on the fence. Shot on my old Nikon D70s at 1/100 sec., F5, ISO 400. I then tweaked it in Lightroom until I got it the way I saw it.

Very interesting beach photo. You focus on the flip flops with little blur sunset background. I feel the end of summer! One thing I don't know why there so dark on both top corners. I would brighten both of them.

Thanks Tom, I might have over done the vignetting, I'll redo and check it out.   Posted: 10/17/2018 07:03:46

You are an artist! The flip flops make the story. Great lighting. The vignetting may be overdone. I like your brighter image as opposed to Tony's darker one.   Posted: 10/19/2018 19:09:57

Beautiful. I wouldn't touch a thing. Especially love the color tone throughout. I hope you remembered to give the flip flops back to your wife.   Posted: 10/21/2018 14:09:47

Great idea to add the flip flops so that there is a center of interest. The fall tones make this seem like the end of the season. Well done.   Posted: 10/25/2018 10:10:03
