The Touch by Grace Lee

June 2018 - The Touch

About the Image(s)

Rodeo photo “The touch” has been taken during a country Rodeo competition. I feel like it didn™t show much the cowboy™s part, but I thought that position was a good catch.

Wow! What a disaster. It looks like a terrible thing for the cowboy. Great capture of the precise action moment. The lighting and dust add to the feel. I think I would cut as much of the fence cowboys off as possible. I hope the cowboy was not too badly hurt.   Posted: 06/08/2018 21:51:53

Thanks Barbara. I will try to do photo shop with background late. The cowboy is very experience rodeo competitor and he is fine. In other time I saw a young horse rider girl was drop by horse during the competition show, then the ambulance had taken her to hospital...   Posted: 06/08/2018 23:09:24

Great shot, I was first viewing it on my iPad and did not see the cowboy. I would crop the man on the right and that branch hanging down. Then I would make a large print.   Posted: 06/09/2018 20:12:12

Thanks Les. I will try to edit it.   Posted: 06/10/2018 06:43:49

Good timing to capture the peak of the action, and your shutter speed was fast enough to stop the action. The cowboys in the background add to the story that it is a rodeo. Really, not a lot of editing needed to improve the image. I just cropped off the left side, darkened the red cowboy shirt and darkened the dirt in the front some.   Posted: 06/10/2018 10:21:12

Thanks Tom for your advice. I really liked this one, but it failed in the competitions...I will try to present it better.   Posted: 06/10/2018 21:27:10

Good timing with the capture of the action. It's too bad that more of the cowboy on the ground isn't visible. You know it's a cowboy because of the action but you really don't see enough of him. Nice color and mood.   Posted: 06/13/2018 16:00:02

Very nice action image, you captured a right moment. I agree Tom's suggestion to crop off the right side. For me even crop little more and erase the part of the cowboy. Also I
would darken the left side and background to more attention to the rodeo cowboy.   Posted: 06/15/2018 00:05:29
