I find this image quite interesting, never looked at mold this close. Much detail and the mold has a beautiful color and texture. I think they can harvest penicillin a antibiotic from bread mold.
Being this has little depth to the subject not sure you would need to use Helicon Focus, but it certainly did not hurt. This would make a good image for a text book for the study of molds. I find nothing I can suggest to improve this image. Nice shot. Good info about the shot.   Posted: 06/12/2020 08:16:24

Fascinating shot Salvador. Lots of interesting detail. The various textures really bring it to life. Makes me want to touch it and in some ways to see the whole piece of bread crust included. Thanks for identifying the subject as I would never have guessed - mold.   Posted: 06/13/2020 19:00:42

Great shot, and good for you for recognizing a good subject when you happen to run into it! Isn't it interesting how much mold looks like cotton candy? Agree with Dick's comments -- great for a textbook photo of whatever kind of mold it is.   Posted: 06/13/2020 19:23:55
