What an interesting insect! I just bought the lens you used here and I hope I can get to do something this wonderful some day! I love the clarity here, and the wonderful detail of the face, mouth, and little "hairs" on the head and back. I also love the delicacy of the wings and the ability to see through to the tail. Lighting here was critical-amazing it was natural. I love the blur of the background and the composition rendered with the angle of the stem the bug is on together with its tail. Did you crop and rotate the photo? Was it taken outside?   Posted: 03/07/2019 21:32:39

Thanks a lot Sandra
I did not rotate and crop it, Image taken from out side in an early morning time. early morning time is the best time to shoot macro, specially bugs.   Posted: 03/24/2019 03:43:41

Sathishkamar,
Wonderful capture of the Winter Damselfly.
Very sharp showing even the smallest detail on the head and legs. Amazing that it stayed still. Just beautiful.
I made a slight crop off the top and a little from the left side. Really is not necessary but it did eliminate the lightish area on the upper lefthand side.
Great diagonal composition.
Enjoyed looking at it!

I agree with those comments, although personally I'd have cropped the right and the top a little, to get it more off-centre. I wish I could get pics like this, I must try this summer!   Posted: 03/08/2019 17:35:42

I also agree `with all the comments. A really great shot. I cropped some off the top and a little off the right side and a bit off the left.   Posted: 03/08/2019 17:56:42

I still think the original was the best-but I'm a very rank amateur. I think the additional space up left and blur gives context. I also like the compositional structure better. What a fantastic shot!   Posted: 03/20/2019 22:37:11

I think I agree with Sandra on the original composition. In either case, this is an incredible macro shot and I tilt my hat to you! d:¬{D   Posted: 03/23/2019 00:11:13
