MY GIRAFFE WATCHES OVER by Nick Muskovac, FPSA, MPSA

February 2021 - MY GIRAFFE WATCHES OVER

About the Image(s)

This is one of my latest creative images; The Model-T ford fire truck was photographed at a car show in Clearwater, FL. The giraffe was taken at the Lowery Park Zoo in Tampa. My picture in the vehicle was taken with my cell-phone. All put together in Photoshop.

An interesting image that doesn't quite wok for me. The right hand side of the giraffe is in shadow whilst there is no other shadow in the image. Also your head seems to have been stuck on, it is too low and possibly too big. I would have expected to see more of your body.   Posted: 02/04/2021 07:05:35

I liked how you emerged The images of the giraffe and the Model-T fire truck. I agree with David that you head doesn't belong in the picture. The picture of the truck and giraffe makes a picture by itself.   Posted: 02/04/2021 13:44:05

I agree with David and Stuart, the head too big and the image would do well without the head in there. Outstanding job of merging the giraffe and the fire truck but again there should be a shadow cast by the giraffe's leg.   Posted: 02/09/2021 17:18:55

Nick this one missed your usual talent. Your head is too large (not really, just in this image!) and the whole just doesn't seem to fit together, but I do like the car.

I thought of you on Sunday and your team win. I can imagine how happy you were   Posted: 02/10/2021 13:29:42

Barbara, Yes, our Football team made history; First team to play the Super-Bowl in their home stadium and then WIN the game!   Posted: 02/16/2021 14:13:44

For me, this works. It is really humorous, and the big head and the giraffe's shadow don't bother me because your picture just makes me chuckle. Heavens above, we need stuff like this nowadays!   Posted: 02/13/2021 20:53:03

Another fun composite demonstrating your ever present sense of humor. I wont repeat the comments of others, but I do agree that some work is necessary if you want a more realistic appearance. I'm not sure that this is one of your goals. Humor and creativity seem to be your priorities.   Posted: 02/14/2021 15:21:44

Nick, I'm always amazed at your images. Do you envision what you want the final photograph to look like before beginning your work, or do you start with a basic idea and then add "what feels right"? In any event, you always succeed in providing a moment of humor and amazement. Thank you!

Oliver, I usually envision the image. I will picture it in my head and sometimes add to it for the finishing touch.   Posted: 02/16/2021 14:10:24
