About the Image(s)

The editing involved increasing the exposure, and then further lightening the dark areas with the brush tool. The image was cropped. I used Camera Profile Vintage 10.
The WB was adjusted by increasing the temperature

You brought out the colours from the original and they are stunning; the vertical lines draw my eye through the image from top to bottom and the darkened spots add to the overall scene, I could add nothing to improve the image. Although it is unimportant I would like to have known in the description, just as a matter of curiosity, what was reflected. Welcome to no. 5 Freddie.   Posted: 09/14/2020 05:10:19

This was a reflection of tropical foliage in a canal near Siesta Key village.   Posted: 09/14/2020 12:55:57

Vary interesting effect; I do like reflections but the image is too bright and the yellow/orange is rather harsh on my monitor. When I scrolled up so only the lower part was visible it was very soothing (as posted below). I like the original but it needs the same crop as your posted image.   Posted: 09/15/2020 09:41:33

Rick, I agree the yellow/orange is overly bright. Also, your suggestion to crop as above makes sense, and the image then becomes more abstract. Thanks!

Freddie, welcome to the group! I look forward to your images and your comments.

I agree with Rick about the brightness. However, something other than that didn't feel quite right to me. After returning to look at your image several times, I thought I might try a different cropping and orientation. The advantage of abstracts is that one can modify them without being concerned about being true to reality. Smiles...

Your thoughts?

I really like your inversion and cropping of the image. I'm currently exhibiting this print, and wish I'd thought of this beforehand!
