SARAH AND GIRAFFE FAMILY by Nick Muskovac, FPSA, MPSA

March 2020 - SARAH AND GIRAFFE FAMILY

About the Image(s)

Another one of my creations:
Sarah is my Granddaughter. Giraffes are from my giraffe library.
I made the giraffe road in Photoshop. Background is from Monument Valley. Just a fun image to make.

Nick you certainly have made the most of your giraffe images and this one is up there with them all. I do think though that Sarah is a bit stiff and she, unlike the animals, doesn't have a shadow--a feature you rarely forget to add   Posted: 03/05/2020 20:09:54

Nick, I'll never see another giraffe without thinking of your images. I really like how you have the giraffes turned to look at Sarah and the viewer. That's a clever way of directing the focus of the photograph. The background that you chose is perfect for this image. Well done.

Interesting composition, the giraffes are well placed to add depth, however, perhaps the clouds and the Monument valley should be a little softer focus to add to the depth. As Barbara mentioned Sarah should have a shadow.   Posted: 03/06/2020 17:33:34

Very imaginative. I have tried a little compositing and know it is difficult to make it look realistic. I'm not skilled enough to make useful suggestions, but besides the missing shadow, the lighting of the subjects is inconsistent. Nevertheless it's a fun image to look at.   Posted: 03/06/2020 22:01:28
