About the Image(s)

I have been a member of KelbyOne for awhile.. This year would be my 7th year participating in a photowalk, my 3rd year leading a photowalk for the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk. This year I lead the walk at the Connecticut Railway Museum in Danbury, CT .. first time there, didn’t know what to expect. I brought my son as he is 11 and wants to learn photography, so I gave him my hand-me-down camera to use while he was with me.. anyway, I came course this rail car with some funky rusted steps.. as I focused on the steps it looked almost 3D-ish.. couldn’t pass it up..

I really like this abstract. Without the history, I would be clueless as to the subject, which is a good thing, in my opinion. I love the detail and color palette. There truly is a 3d look with the grass looking liked raised buttons. You have a good eye for subjects.   Posted: 10/07/2019 18:15:20

Phil, I also enjoy being a KelbyOne member, but have never been on one of the photowalks. They sound fantastic!

It took me several "viewings" to comprehend your image. (I didn't start by reading the description.) Once I "got it", I was immediately able to see what it was. Until then, it seemed to be a nice and unusual abstract. Fascinating image!

An interesting abstract Phil but I have to confess that looking at blurry pictures hurts my eyes--just an odd thing perhaps but it prevents me from seeing seeing their worth. I am sure others will comment giving you constructive critiques.   Posted: 10/12/2019 18:45:27
