About the Image(s)

Passing this spot as I entered my tennis club I used my IPhone to take the picture, taken at 1 p.m., not the best time of day. The Royal Poinciana tree is breathtaking and although there is nothing exceptional about this image I find it just a lovely scenic. I would like to have had a person sitting under the tree reading a book but that is unlikely in Florida’s 90 degree heat! I added two swans from my bird file and I enhanced the image slightly with Viveza 2, used high pass filter and added a border

Barbara, I do like the birds, but as you say, it's a lovely scenic but not something spectacular. Well done, and with an I phone. I'm glad I can use my phone to make make mobile bank deposits...sometimes several takes to get one good image.   Posted: 08/04/2019 21:26:01

Hi Barbara, I also like the image and the proportion of the swans fit in perfectly. They look like they were there when you took the original image.   Posted: 08/05/2019 11:15:46

Quite a lovely scene and very calming, it seems like a great place to sit under the tree and read a book when it is not so hot. I don't know why, but on my monitor your edited version seems a little over exposed; the swans have lost some detail. However, your original is right on with a nice blue sky. The swans are well place and certainly add interest to the total image. Very nice.   Posted: 08/05/2019 16:26:11

Barbara, I think this is a wonderful capture. The colors are amazingly vibrant and the entire scene (especially with the swans) is serene. Well done! I don't have any suggestions for edits.

A very beautiful 'capture' and the addition of the swans is a good touch. I think I would clone out the 'smutz' at the bottom left of the tree   Posted: 08/10/2019 11:17:05

Barbara, this is very nice. Your post processing did a great job and produced some very vibrant colors. Nice addition of the swans and border.   Posted: 08/15/2019 11:47:08

A pleasing 'scenic' as you describe it. Certainly a tree to snap and your phone obviously did a good job. The swans are a useful addition but I think Mark has the right idea in cloning out those distracting items under the tree. This is the type of image with which I would be tempted to develop futher by using the Oil paint option in PS.   Posted: 08/17/2019 05:12:45

Hi Barbara
Like the picture, but I think I prefer the colours of the original. Perhaps you are more used to bright colours in Florida than we are in the UK. Swans a nice touch!   Posted: 08/18/2019 12:15:25
