About the Image(s)

This composite is made up from an old slide from where I grew up, it's south of Denver and west of Littleton. I bet anyone familiar with this area would not be able recognize it today. The tractor photo was taken in a small lot here in Georgetown, Tx where several old tractors sit rusting away. The man driving the tractor was the owner/operator of a Parmesan cheese factory in Italy. Putting it all together, I had to color match the dirt in the road with the dirt surrounding the tractor. I put in a sky from my collection of clouds, the mountains were from another Colorado photo. The man was resized and placed in the driver's seat. I used PS's motion blur on the wheels to create the illusion of turning. I did want to create some dirt flying around the wheels too but I wasn't successful in doing that. Rick.

Excellent composite. All four items are perfectly matched. The motion blur on wheels is a 'Plus' to the image. Good work, well done.   Posted: 07/05/2019 05:18:59

I agree 100% with Mohan. And, I'm not sure that adding "dirt flying around the wheels" would have been a plus since I think of these old tractors as going quite slow. Excellent work!

I like the way you put all the pictures together. Good idea of adding motion to the wheels. I would have made the man, driving the tractor, larger.   Posted: 07/07/2019 15:48:32

Agree, almost twice as large. There is room and perspective for it. But it is a very elaborated composite indeed.   Posted: 07/10/2019 14:37:07

I like the motion added to the wheels, it is not too obtrusive and it does give the impression of movement. You did a superb job with this Rick, the DoF is great, the sky, I wouldn't add or change a thing. Good work.   Posted: 07/11/2019 18:05:50
