About the Image(s)

I took this at a Chapter meeting where the lighting was set up for us, so I can’t .take credit for it . One of the better poses that she struck for me, I didn’t change much from the original; I whitened her eyes a little and added a catchlight.. I’ve entered it in CC comp and it didn’t get anywhere, any suggestions?

Barbara, it's a beautiful capture of a beautiful woman. I especially like the way her hair frames her face. You did a wonderful job with the lighting... and the blue frame is a perfect way to set off the image.

The only thing that I can suggest is that her eyes are a bit too white. It seems almost unnatural. The catchlight is a great addition.

Nicely done!

Barbara, I agree with Pete's comments; however, I would like to add one thing. The highlights on Mary's right cheek and nose are a little too strong. You might take a look at some Youtube videos on frequency separation; using this technique you can tone down the highlights and still keep the texture. Otherwise, this is well done, I'm sure the model would love to have a copy.   Posted: 05/04/2019 15:38:15

Lovely composition, Barbara. I like, particularly, the diagonal created by the eyes. I agree with the others, though, that her eyes are a tiny bit too white and I also find her hat a bit distracting. I took the liberty of modifying the image using Viveza to darken the eyes and the hat and I hope you find this useful.   Posted: 05/06/2019 05:42:32

I would like to add that this model looks vibrantly REAL in your shot. She seems very relaxed and direct with the photographers, and you caught that. Also, I would like to praise you for showing her with real skin with real pores.   Posted: 05/08/2019 21:24:11

I have to agree with her eyes being too whitened. That said; I think this is a very good image with excellent lighting; good touch with the blue border.   Posted: 05/23/2019 18:53:29
