Plate Detail by John Yurchak, APSA

April 2018 - Plate Detail

About the Image(s)

This was a a Provia slide taken about 25 years ago such as a plate detail on a (plastic or glass) surface with colored fluorescent paper under the setup on the floor or table and then the black lights placed on 2 sides of the setup and then photographed for the detail or change the color of the paper below. Just thought you might enjoy some of the thing that I did with film and creative work along time ago.

I totally agree with Barbara.... very nice composition and colors! Although I used film for about three decades, I never tried this process. It really is eye-catching.

My eyes tend to go to the circle in the upper middle of the image. Then the green area and the intriguing lines make me take in the rest of the picture. Very nicely done.

Yes John, I remember working with black light years ago; The colors in your image are very interesting; I might have cropped about 10% of the top, since the black area in the upper corner blends in with our black background
